API Building – Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Facility

Renowned as one of the world's largest pharmaceutical companies, GSK is also one of Montrose's biggest employers, with a large industrial site located on the banks of the River South Esk. Known for producing life-changing medication, GSK Montrose has an established reputation for manufacturing respiratory treatments that help millions of people in over 170 countries.

The design we created for their new API building places the pharmaceutical manufacturing process which it houses at the heart of the design. Standing proudly at 25m tall, the API facility incorporates a gravity-fed system, which suits the building's distinct maximum height limit and reinforces its functional purpose.
